Maximising Equipment Utilisation

The challenge

Every production plant has its own specific bottlenecks, which may cause an equipment utilisation and productivity below the designed or desired level. This may be due to equipment, logistical, storage options or automation deficiencies. Other reasons are planning difficulties, sensitivity to faults or human factors - or some combination. In many cases, it is not fully clear to what extend these factors contribute to the factory`s underperformance. Maximising equipment utilisation is a constant challenge in order to get production costs under control.

How we work with you

External analysis and progress management can be a good way to overcome the problem. Extensive knowledge and reputation in technology, team management and production helps us to identify sources systematically and to get accepted by the client's teams, which is always necessary for sustainable success. We analyse the current production situation step by step in order to define measurable targets and benchmarks. In a second step, the major bottlenecks will be carefully evaluated to implement appropriate measures such as production line balancing, automation updates, restructuration of procedures. All actions will be planned and put into practise in cooperation with an inhouse team. Finally, the results are evaluated and assessed in order to verify results and remaining improvement potential.
