Key Process Quality Maintenance
What is Key Process Quality Maintenance (KPQM)?
Key process quality maintenance is an advanced technical service, designed especially for key processes in the food & tobacco industry with a significant impact on the product quality. It consists of extensive and structured data evaluation, analysis and readjustment of process settings & parameters where applicable.
The service is preventive and ideally suited for reapplication in regular intervals (e. g. yearly) – then it guarantees a constantly high product quality, stability in production and full process transparency.
Key Processes
KPQM is designed for physical processes, where physical transparency is comparatively low , process behaviour fluctuates due to various influences, interactions with neighbourhood processes occur or different product settings are required.- All types of driers (such as rotary, vibro, flash and band driers)
- Blending processes (e. g. casing, flavouring)
- Processing conveyors and cylinders
- Machine feeding and wet air exhaust system
Benefits
- Elimination of deficiencies at an early stage – ideally before they affect the product quality
- Better transparency of key processes - by providing detailed process performance documentation (settings & results),
- Maintain processes in line with company standards even when the company’s resources are under heavy pressure from other demands.
- Reduced maintenance requirements
